There's something special about a miniaturised version of, well, any vehicle. From die-cast Hot Wheels to collectors 1/18 scale models that are perfectly reduced, detailed versions of the real thing. And, let's not forget the amazing Lego models like this Porsche too.
But, any real petrolhead will tell you that a motorised mini-me is just that much better. And we're not talking about radio-controlled cabbies either, although they too strike a chord. Nope, we're talking about two-stroke powered miniatures that turn the heads of kids and adults alike.
Some of these little vehicles are extremely detailed, and inspiration is found from classics like the Plymouth Superbird to more contemporary cars such as the Mercedes-Benz 500sl, Porsche 911s or Magnum PIs Ferrari 308. But, it doesn't stop there. How about little Willy's Army Jeep tackling a bit of mud, or a bright yellow school bus, and, inevitably a VW Camper Van too.
Some people even go as far as to make diesel-powered Mack Trucks, including big-ass trailers in tow. It's quite a thing of beauty!
So, there you have it. Struggling to find a gift for your petrolhead hubby? Maybe it's time to commision one of these for him!
