1,700HP TWIN TURBO AUDI R8 V10 PLUS VS 2021 TESLA MODEL S PLAID - DRAG RACE

Check out this 1,700HP twin turbo Audi R8 V10 Plus vs brand new 2021 Tesla Model S Plaid battling it out in a drag race, who will take the win?

Are drag races between modified supercars and Tesla Model S' getting a bit old now? Well, we don't think so! Regardless of which drivetrain you are biased towards, electric vs internal combustion drag races are next level to watch!

This time around we see an R8 V10 Plus twin turbo that produces 1,700HP up against a brand new Tesla Model S Plaid which is currently the quickest Tesla on the market battling it out in a drag race best out of three that is set up by the guys over at Hoonigan.

The 2018 Audi R8 V10 Plus smacks out 1,700 horsepower, has a DCT transmission, weighs in at 3,700 LBS, features a twin turbo 5.2 litre V10 engine and has an all wheel drive system

The Tesla on the other hand makes 1020 HP, has a 1-speed automatic gearbox, weighs in at a far heavier 4828 LBS largely thanks to its electric motor and batteries and to has an all wheel drive system.

According to the specs, the R8 will clearly take the win, but the Tesla, although heavier and less powerful also has the advantage of having instant torque at its disposal and only 1 gear in its transmission.

So who will take the win in the real world? Take a look at the video at the bottom of this article to find out!
