Two and a half decades ago, Bulletproof Automotive kickstarted a revolution - bringing Japan’s elite tuning culture to the rest of the world. Now, in 2025, the brand marks its 25th anniversary in true Bulletproof fashion: by reimagining one of the greatest driver’s cars ever made. Say hello to the BP25 S2000 - a reborn legend that fuses analogue soul with cutting-edge tech, built for those who live for the redline. The Honda S2000 has always been about the experience - that screaming F20C motor, the precise gearbox, the perfect weight balance. Bulletproof Automotive took that DNA and evolved it for a new era without losing the essence that made the original so beloved. The result is the BP25: a masterpiece blending vintage JDM culture with modern performance and craftsmanship worthy of a supercar. It’s a car built not for nostalgia’s sake, but to prove that pure driving pleasure never goes out of style.
Founder Ben Schaffer explains it best: “The S2000 is timeless, and for our 25th anniversary, we had to go back to the source. The BP25 is a celebration of our love for JDM performance - 580 supercharged horsepower and the finest modern tech, all wrapped around that core high-revving purity. This is its final form.”
The BP25’s finish pays homage to the company’s iconic Concept One, a car that once dominated Tsukuba Circuit, appeared on countless magazine covers, and even found its way into the Petersen Automotive Museum. To connect the lineage, the new build wears Lamborghini Balloon White, meticulously applied by Bulletproof Auto Spa, with the same gold accents that once defined its legendary sibling.
Under the bonnet sits a Bulletproof-spec 2.0-litre motor that’s been completely reengineered and force-fed to deliver over 430 kW of supercharged power, screaming all the way to 9,300 rpm. It’s the perfect evolution of Honda’s original high-revving concept: raw, responsive, and engineered to be driven like it’s meant to be. Engine management is handled by AEM, while top-tier internals ensure that every shriek is as reliable as it is violent. Power flows through a vintage Amuse titanium header and Amuse Euro Dual 70mm titanium exhaust, creating a note that’s pure JDM symphony. Making its North American debut, the Varis Dark Panther widebody kit transforms the S2000 into a low-slung, carbon-clad predator. Beyond its aggressive stance, the kit improves downforce, balance, and grip - crucial when you’re dealing with nearly triple the stock output.
Braking is handled by a Brembo Pista big brake kit - lightweight, forged, and anodised for endurance and precision. The S2000’s suspension and drivetrain have also been completely reworked, featuring Top Secret/Aragosta Super Dampers, an ASM x Drexler LSD, and components from Spoon, J’s Racing, and EVS. All that power meets the tarmac through Toyo Proxes R888R 295/30ZR19 tyres, ensuring the BP25 can carve corners as viciously as it devours straights. The BP-RW Evolution wheels debut on this car - 19×11-inch forged masterpieces inspired by Japanese Tsuchime metalwork, the ancient hammered finish found on premium Japanese blades and cookware.
From the whine of the supercharger to the titanium scream at redline, every element was chosen to remind you why you fell in love with cars in the first place.
