FORD PAYS TRIBUTE TO NASA WITH A ONE-OFF MUSTANG MAKING 627HP

Ford has been crafting one-off Mustangs for EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, dubbed "The World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration," for a few years now. The partnership has continued in 2015 with the awesome "Apollo Edition" Mustang. This custom Mustang GT pays tribute to the Apollo space program and is fittingly out of this world. This Mustang is fully awesome and should raise a ton of money for youth education when its auctioned off at the show. The Apollo Edition has a one-off paint scheme paying tribute to NASA’s Apollo spacecraft. You’ll also see that Ford has added a carbon fiber front splitter and rear diffuser as well as unique underbody lights that, according to Ford, symbolize atmospheric re-entry. The massive 21-inch Forgiato wheels fit the arches perfectly as well. There’s a supercharger under the hood and along with the other performance mods it pushes out 627 horsepower. There’s flashy but proper Brembo brakes to help slow it down and a performance suspension to ensure it can do more than move in a straight line.
