FORZA MOTORSPORT, THE 7TH INSTALMENT OF THIS LEGENDARY RACING GAME, HAS OCTOBER LAUNCH. HERE'S A PREVIEW OF THE AWESOMENESS.
In the world of gaming, one of the world’s most successful motoring-related titles is Forza Motorsport. This XBox-based game kicked off back in 2005 with Forza Motorsport, and that was followed up with Forza Motorsport 2 in 2007, Forza Motorsport 3 in 2009, Forza Motorsport 4 in 2011, Forza Horizon in 2012, Forza Motorsport 5 in 2013, Forza Horizon 2 in 2014, Forza Motorsport 6 in 2015, Forza Horizon 3 in 2016, Forza Motorsport 7 in 2017, Forza Horizon 4 in 2018, Forza Street in 2018 and Forza Horizon 5 in 2021. While the chronological order of the games suggests that the next game in the series would be Forza Motorsport 8, but that’s not the case. For some reason, the next instalment shares the same title as the original release in 2005 - Forza Motorsport. The previous games have amassed legions of fans across the world, and depending on which sites you try to get figures from, combined sales are close to 20 000 000 copies. That’s a fair chunk of sales. The new game is tipped for release on 10 October this year, and gamers simply cannot wait. The game has been updated in every aspect, and the gameplay and available cars are second to none. In moving with the times, the game cover features the 2023 No.01 Cadillac Racing V-Series.R racecar as well as the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray, both of which are available to use in the game. The career mode in the game is also improved, and players can earn over 800 performance upgrades and race the most advanced AI opponents yet in the Builders Cup Career Mode. The new Forza Motorsport also features 20 completely rebuilt tracks from around the world with multiple layouts, including five never-before-seen tracks in a Motorsport game. Each will feature fully-dynamic time-of-day gameplay including weather, living crowds, and tracks that change when more rubber is laid down, and even reacts to temperature changes.
We know most of you are already clued up on the game and the cars available, if you didn’t you likely wouldn’t be reading content here in SXdrv. So we understand your interest is more in the cars and tracks available to play, especially since the last game was released the motoring world has been littered with amazing cars from all walks of life. Here’s a list of some of the more interesting cars out of the more than 500 available in the all-new Forza Motorsport, and this list will be followed up with a list of some select tracks available to play on. The October 10 launch is only the start of this new gaming journey and as expected, Forza Motorsport will continue to evolve and expand after its release with regular new career championships, online events, new cars and tracks, and new gameplay experiences over time.
