NEED FOR SPEED SERIES STORY TIMELINE EXPLAINED

Need For Speed is one of the biggest videogame titles of all time, not to mention racing games, and really came to the forefront of its competition in the year 2003 with the introduction of Need For Speed Underground where car customisation and the underground street racing scene really kicked off largely thanks to the Fast and the Furious movie franchise which was the inspiration behind the first Need For Speed Underground and many to follow as well.

Not only was the game on another level, but EA games managed to incorporate a basic storyline that helped players crave the urge to progress in the story like other types of games that were not racing orientated. Furthermore, we also had a follow-up game which was Need For Speed Underground 2 that also carried the story forward from the original Need For Speed Underground, but then a year later we were introduced to Need For Speed Most Wanted which really had a movie-like storyline as you played the game.

Since then, we have had incredible storylines in the Need For Speed franchise and that has remained a standard right through to the present day.
