Set against the frozen expanse of Lake St. Moritz, Maserati has unveiled one of its most striking one-offs to date. The MCPURA Cielo FROZEN MAGMA. A bespoke Fuoriserie creation revealed at one of the world’s most exclusive winter gatherings, where high society meets high revs on ice. The name says it all. FROZEN MAGMA is born from contradiction. A car inspired by an environment that appears calm and crystalline on the surface, yet hides immense energy beneath. Absolute cold meets molten passion, distilled into a single, dramatic statement of design and performance.
Visually, the MCPURA Cielo FROZEN MAGMA is impossible to ignore. Its Ai Aqua Rainbow glossy paint shifts and shimmers under changing light, echoing the glassy blues of a frozen lake. Against this icy canvas, Maserati introduces a flash of heat. Glossy orange accents slice through the bodywork with intent, from the orange dreamline livery and Trident on the tonneau cover to the external badges, Maserati lettering and Cielo insignia.
The contrast continues lower down, where glossy black front and rear facias ground the design, complemented by 20-inch Cyclonic Fuoriserie wheels finished in glossy black. Orange brake calipers, matching wheel hub caps and Trident details complete a colour palette that feels as sharp as the alpine air surrounding it.
Inside, the tension between discipline and drama carries on. Black Alcantara dominates the cabin, delivering a technical, focused atmosphere enhanced by lasered Chevron graphics backed in orange. Orange stitching runs throughout as a recurring visual pulse, while the Trident is embroidered into the headrests as a quiet reminder of heritage. Carbon fibre trim reinforces the MCPURA’s racing DNA, and at the heart of the interior sits a badge that confirms this car’s singular status. “Maserati Fuoriserie - THE I.C.E. 2026 - ONE OF ONE.” Lasered and printed, because there will never be another.
Power comes courtesy of Maserati’s jewel-like 3.0-litre V6 Nettuno engine, delivering 470 kW and featuring patented pre-chamber combustion technology derived from Formula 1 know-how. The spec sheet is suitably serious, with carboceramic brakes, Suspension Lifter, a full suite of driver assistance systems, and the Sonus Faber Premium audio system providing an immersive soundtrack when the engine isn’t doing the talking.
The MCPURA Cielo FROZEN MAGMA takes centre stage at The I.C.E. 2026, but it is far from alone. Maserati’s presence on the frozen lake also includes the MCPURA Coupé and Cielo, GT2 Stradale, GranTurismo Meccanica Lirica One-Off and GranCabrio Meccanica Lirica One-Off. Selected models will even venture out onto the ice itself, adding motion to the spectacle as part of the Trident’s centenary celebrations. As part of the Concours d’Elegance, two icons from Maserati’s past join the show. A Maserati 300S and a Maserati 4CLT. Timeless, rare machines that underline the brand’s deep-rooted connection to motorsport and competitive spirit.
The event forms part of the Year of the Trident, marking 100 years since the creation of Maserati’s legendary logo, inspired by Bologna’s Fountain of Neptune and designed by Mario Maserati. It also celebrates the brand’s first racing victory with the Tipo 26 at the Targa Florio, a moment that ignited a century of performance milestones.
