THE NEW SEAT LEON CUPRA R WILL DEBUT ALONGSIDE OTHER ALEXA CONNECTED CARS
The latest Leon Cupra R, which is a limited-run powerhouse is set to storm onto the scene in Frankfurt. The Cupra R's power comes from the same turbocharged four-cylinder engine you get in the Volkswagen Golf R, making 310 horsepower when hooked up to a manual gearbox or 300 horsepower when coupled with a double-clutch transmission, but where the Volkswagen has all-wheel drive, the Cupra R puts its grunt exclusively to the front wheels.
Carbon fibre detailing has been added to the front and rear bumpers, skirts and diffuser, while the mirrors are finished in copper. Carbon fibre and copper trim pieces have been spread liberally throughout the cabin, and the steering wheel and gearstick are trimmed in Alcantara. Just 799 examples will be built, with pricing details yet to be announced. There are some companies that allow owners to activate minor in-car functions by using the Amazon Echo, the Seat Leon Cupra R will be the first cars in Europe to integrate Alexa.
Keep an eye on the page for any updates on the Seat Leon Cupra R which will be fully launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
