2021 QATAR FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX - RECAP
The 2021 Qatar Grand Prix is officially done and dusted and won't be hosted here again until possible 2023 as a result of the FIFA World Cup in 2022.
After Qualifying on Saturday, the grid was supposed to see Lewis Hamilton on pole followed by Max Verstappen, however, just before the race started on Sunday, the FIA gave a 5 place grid penalty to Verstappen for ignoring double yellow flags.
After lights out, Max couldn't have asked for a better start as he quickly gained second place and held it right until the end, not before stealing the fastest lap off Lewis Hamilton which inevitably gave him an additional point.
