BAC SHOWS OFF AERODYNAMICS COLOUR TO ITS ART CAR MONO
The minimalistic BAC Mono is a standout of art in-between big-bodied sedans and SUV's. It makes an interesting canvas for a great art project, with BAC brightening up its single-seat roadster with electric-blue, red and yellow stripes to represent airflow along the length of the black body.
The Art Car Mono is sure to be one of the most eye-catching rides at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed. The piece of art was developed by BAC and Autodesk, the software company whose simulation tools helped in developing Mono. The newly developed car brings Autodesk's CFD graphics to life and creates a real-life vision of virtual wind tunnel modelling.
The stripes follow up the hood, from nose to dashboard, while yellow and reds spread out at the rear of the cockpit, creating a vibrant display of aerodynamics and airflow atop the black body. BAC states that it is the first to display a car's aerodynamic simulation this way. The Goodwood Festival of Speed started on Thursday and featured the Art Car Mono to the public. BAC highlighted an all-new Mono configurator, developed in conjunction with Autodesk.
