MIDNIGHT HAS A NEW SHAPE - THE NEW MASERATI MC20 NOTTE IS BEAUTIFULLY DARK.

With the recent announcement of the 60th anniversary of Maserati’s iconic Quattroporte, we thought that would be the last we hear from the Italian automaker for 2023, but as it turns out, the company wasn’t quite finished. In a last hurrah for 2023, Maserati has just unveiled one of the best-looking models we’ve ever seen come out of the Bologna-based factory and it’s called the MC20 Notte. The MC20 has already been seen and perved over since its 2020 debut, and now we find the first limited edition version of said supercar. This one ticks all the right boxes for us, black-on-black cars make us weak at the knees, and when said car features that iconic Maserati trident logo it rises very high on our imaginary supercar garage. The exclusive Notte Edition will have a limited production run, as you’d expect, and so the world will only ever see 50 of these models in existence. The Notte draws inspiration from the racing world, the Maserati Fuoriserie team collaborated with Maserati reference driver and former GT1 world champion Andrea Bertolini to develop the MC20 Notte’s sleek, dark bodywork. The exterior is transformed from a gloss black shade to a magnetic matte ‘nero essenza’ hue ready to glow in the dark thanks to the Midas touch (a.k.a. Gold accents) of track predator Bertolini. Contrasting the darkness is the Trident badge, side logos and the Maserati signature. The Notte wears matt black 20-inch birdcage wheels that have matte white gold accents. The brake calipers are hidden behind the wheels thanks to their matching black paintwork. We would have made them gold too, just saying.

Inside, the MC20 Notte features 6-way power sport seats in Alcantara black/grey with yellow stitching as well as the iconic Trident on the headrests. The sports steering wheel is covered in Alcantara and now features carbon fibre inserts. An exclusive metal plate celebrating the MC20 Notte Edition along with a distinctive numbering plaque - it reads ‘UNA DI 50’ (one of 50) signature is found between the two headrests. “Fuoriserie means ‘custom-built’ in Italian, and our Trident’s customisation program is conceived to create one-of-a-kind rolling sculptures for our clients. MC20 Notte celebrates the thrill of racing and the allure of the night combining supreme performance and Italian elegance with a touch of mystery of the nocturnal world. It is the first Fuoriserie limited edition of MC20 and it is dedicated to super sportscar collectors and track enthusiasts”, said Klaus Busse, Head of Maserati Design. To celebrate the launch of the ridiculously cool Maserati MC20 Notte Edition, global brand ambassador and MC20 enthusiast David Beckham and Andrea Bertolini appear as the stars of an engaging short film, where Beckham’s dazzling MC20 is transformed into a new racing creature blazing through the night across the city and on the racetrack. The MC20 Notte is now available worldwide and its future owners will be invited to experience the thrill of a Maserati on-track driving experience, to let them savour the feeling of the new exclusive model of the Trident. When they say worldwide, we’re pretty sure they don’t have our little country on that list, but stranger things have happened.

Take a look at the YouTube video that shows off what happens when Italian automakers go dark - the result is an iconic Italian sportscar that's as black as night itself. It's just amazing, well we think so anyway, we've always liked a black-on-black look for a car, and when it's done on a Maserati it just hits better - it even coaxed David Beckham out of hiding: 2024 Maserati MC20 Notte | CWMedia
