Ever parked your car in an illegal spot? Shame on you. Although most of us have done it.

Well, when you come back to your illegally parked vehicle, you'll probably notice a great, big, yellow wheel clamp on your tyre. Shit. 

I suppose we deserve it. The only problem is that some people have learned how to drive away with those things. Don't know how, don't know why. But they have!

A new invention, the Car Barnacle, could replace wheel clamps and provide a more efficient way of restricting illegally parked cars from speeding off. 

The Barnacle is a concept that uses industrial-strength suction cups to adhere itself to your car, and won't let go until the fee is paid online.

It's also placed on your screen, so driving away isn't really a safe option!

The concept is currently being tested in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Allentown, PA.
