A TRIBUTE TO THE CHEVROLET CORVETTE ZR1

The last special edition, front engined, rear-wheel-drive Corvette, the ZR1 is insane.

This car will kill you if you have little to no driving skills. And that makes it great. It looks angry, sounds angry and will scare you to death when you drive it but, at the end of the day, isn't that what petrolheads love?

In the clip below, the guys at Everyday Driver take the ZR1 on their favourite, twisty mountain roads as part of a movie they put together called American Original. The full feature is a documentary-style flick about the Chevrolet Corvette, where they discuss the driving dynamics of all the models since 1954.

In this segment, though, they discuss just the one model. It's a ton of fun listening to the similies and metaphors that they come up with to describe how wild the Corvette ZR1 is. The last front-wheel-drive Corvette before the engine becomes mid-mounted.

Hit play and enjoy the show!
