AVENTADOR VS AVENTADOR VS AVENTADOR - THE ULTIMATE AVENTADOR DRAG RACE!
If you’re a thoroughbred car person, you should know by now that the logo of a bull is seen on every model of Lamborghini there is. Many might not know that the instantly recognisable and iconic Lamborghini bull has its origins in the stars, it literally comes from the Taurus constellation, and it was chosen because the big boss man behind the Lamborghini brand, Ferruccio Lamborghini, was born on the 28th April and so his star sign was the bull. You have to love that one of the most iconic motoring brands ever had an inventor that was into astrology. Loads don’t agree with it, or that it’s even a real thing, but this here SXdrv crew is quite happy that Ferruccio was a fan because we couldn’t imagine these Italian supercars being given any other name.
Our mates at carwow are well known for their in depth automotive reviews, if it has wheels, it’s been through their hands to review and film it. But over and above the content that helps pay the bills we see some proper entertainment from the carwow crew too, marque-specific drag races is one thing they like to do, and it’s one thing we never miss. When supercar manufacturers release models, they often use the same base and then just tweak engine and suspension parameters and then they slap on different aero packages which results in different models that appeal to different buyers. So when we see the likes of Lamborghini release something like the Aventador, and then that gets followed up with an Aventador S, SV, SVJ, Ultimae and more it bring up questions about the differences between the models and how they stack up against each other in a direct comparison.
For this absolutely epic drag race, Mat Watson assembled a bunch of awesome Italian supercars for a Lamborghini Aventador shootout. The lineup includes the Aventador AV, the Aventador S, the Aventador SV, the Aventador SVJ and the Aventador Ultimae. That’s a serious amount of horsepower from a collection of cars worth ridiculous money. That said, it’s awesome to see these owners happy to attend an event like this, and it's even better seeing them drive their supercars like Ferruccio intended.
