KOENIGSEGG REGERA PRICING ANNOUNCED, YOU CAN'T AFFORD IT, SORRY.

The price and release date of the ultra powerful Koenigsegg hybrid supercar have been revealed by its European dealer and it's really affordable, NOT!

According to the Swedish company’s official UK dealer, the Regera will cost just over $2.3 million.  First introduced at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the Regera features a twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V-8 and an electric drivetrain that combines for an insane amount of power: 1,500 horsepower and 1,475 pound-feet of torque. The car also has a direct drive system instead of a traditional type of gearbox.

All that power works with the cars advanced aerodynamics and downforce to help the Regera hit a top speed of 248 MPH with 62 MPH dealt with in a mere 2.8 seconds.

Only 80 examples of the Regera will be sold, and deliveries will begin in December 2016.
