The new Dodge Challenger Hellcat has been a car that's been talked about and has caused waves all over the internet since it's launch, quickly establishing itself as the standard for muscle car supremacy. With a earth-shattering 707 horsepower on tap, it is easily one of the fastest and most significant two-door coupes to be built in the USA. But it is not the only Challenger to draw a crowd and one of the most exotic and most scarce versions of the modern Challenger is the 2011 Challenger 392 SRT8 Inaugural Edition, with only 1100 ever examples built.

Power comes in the form of a 6.4-litre (392 cubic inch) SRT HEMI V8 engine. Rated at 470HP and 640Nm of torque, it takes a mere 5 seconds to reach 100 km/h. Matched to a 6-speed manual transmission, it also offers cylinder deactivation to save fuel while driving at steady speeds or engaging cruise control on the highway.

Based on the original 6.1-litre HEMI engine, modifications on this special edition car include the addition of a new cold-air induction system, active intake manifold, variable cam timing, high-flow cylinder heads and size increases for both the intake and exhaust valves to maximize airflow, combustion and efficiency.

Exterior styling cues include a unique front chin spoiler, body-coloured grille surround, exclusive “392 Hemi” badges and a rear deck spoiler. Two colors were offered for the limited volume Inaugural Edition; Deep Water Blue with Stone White stripes or Bright White Clear Coat with standard Viper Blue stripes, with this example you see obvisouly being the first option. Smooth Pearl White leather seats with dual blue stripes and blue stitching highlights the impressive interior while blue lighting illuminates the black on white gauges.
