VIDEO: NEW 'FURIOUS 8' TEASER SHOWS CREW FILMING IN CUBA.

With the easing of travel restrictions between the United States and Cuba, we knew it wouldn't take long for Hollywood to head to the Caribbean—but what we didn't necessarily expect is that it would be with the successful Fast and the Furious franchise.

Although the next installment of the series isn't due out until April of next year, a teaser video released online this week gives us an insider's look at what's to come. The video doesn't give much away, which isn't a surprise since the movie is still clearly in the midst of filming, but it does reveal some pretty big changes regarding what types of cars will take over the silver screen.

Hefty trade restrictions and a communist government have largely kept modern cars out of Cuba, where the locals are known for making back alley-style repairs to pre-embargo 1950s American steel.

Once again, Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez once again headline the film's roster, but director F. Gary Gray is new to the series. At least two additional installments of the series are planned, which would bring the total to 10 since the original The Fast and the Furious debuted back in 2001.

Filming is set to head to Atlanta and New York after Cuba.
