The Honda Acura Integra Type R was an absolute game changer, and featured specs that were so advanced for a road car that it still holds records!
The Acura Integra Type R was manufactured from 1996 up until 2001 for the JDM market, and from 1997 for the US market. The Integra Type R featured a 1.8 L DOHC VTEC in-line 4 cylinder engine called the B18C, which produced a monstrous 197hp at 8,000 RPM which, even in today's standards, is a lot! Especially for a naturally aspirated car.
The Acura Integra Type R has one purpose, and that was to go fast and be the best handling car ever made by Honda. It features double-wishbone suspension, front and rear sway bars and struts straight out of the factory!
If you were to try to find an Integra Type R now, you can expect to pay around $80,000 and up.
