THE RM SOTHEBY'S DARE TO DREAM AUCTION FEATURES A MIND-BLOWING COLLECTION OF THE WORLD'S BEST CARS.

In the world of high-end automobile auctions, there are a few major players with one of the top ones being RM Sotheby’s. These guys have extensive experience selling cars that border on being priceless, and one way to attract legions of buyers with more money than sense is to curate a lot packed with special cars. Sometimes they list a full collection from one place and other times they source cars from all over to create their special collection. In this case, all the cars listed as the lot for The Dare to Dream Collection are sourced from the Toronto-based Dare to Dream Garage. It’s home to what is widely regarded as the best collection in Canada, and while it’s mostly focussed on rare and iconic Ferraris, as you’ll see from the listings, the collection is also buffed up with cars from McLaren, Mercedes, Maserati, Porsche and more. We’re not sure why the whole collection is up for sale, we can only hope the point is to replace all the cars with something even more special, if that’s even possible. The list for this auction is comprised of a whopping 32 cars, ranging from the one with the lowest estimate, a 2003 Aston Martin DB AR1 Zagato valued between $275,000 and $350,000 right up to the collection’s crowning jewel, a 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari valued between $3,850,000 and $4,250,000. One thing that’s of particular interest in this auction is that all the special cars are listed with no reserve. If you’re not clued up on auction jargon, it means that while the cars have been given sales estimates, if the bidding doesn’t reach them, the cars will be sold at whatever the current highest bid is. In theory, you could pick up a seriously rare supercar for a few hundred grand. Still, with the auction taking place a week before the Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada in Montreal, the people who will be attracted to the event will all be heavy hitters and will have fun trying to prove who has the biggest crypto balance.

Here’s a visual list of the cars on offer along with their high and low-end dollar estimates. Which of these 32 car would you like to see in your driveway? If it was us here at SXdrv, and we theoretically won the current US Mega Millions lotto valued at $977,000,000 (R18,515.654,730.23) we’d pick five of the 32. We’d have the Ferrari LaFerrari, the Ferrari F40, the Bugatti Veyron, the Porsche 959 Komfort and the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Coupe. If we won a smaller lotto, it would be the Ferrari F40 all the way.
