AUDI SA IS BRINGING LIMITED NUMBERS OF BLACK EDITION MODELS IN FOR 2024 - AND THEY LOOK GREAT.

Audi South Africa has just introduced a few market-specific special-edition models to their lineup, and they’re pretty cool. They’re listed under the titles of Black Edition and Urban Edition models that include popular cosmetic and convenience features which Audi hopes will make it easier for customers to choose their perfect Audi. These cars will be available in showrooms from early in Q1 of 2024 and they include some worthwhile Audi Assured offers. The first models to receive the Black Edition treatment are the A4 and S4 sedan ranges. For the A4 range, the Black Edition package can be optioned for the 35 TFSI, 35 TDI, 40 TFSI and the S4 TFSI. To keep things exclusive, just 100 units of the A4 Black Edition are headed to South Africa, making these derivatives a highly unique sight on our roads. Being fully imported actually keeps the cost down as opposed to adding on the changes at a local level. I don’t care who you are, saving money is always a bonus. Later in 2024, the Black Edition specification will be extended to even more products that include the Q2, the A3 and S3, the A5 and S5, the Q3 SUV and Sportback, as well as the Q5 SUV and Sportback. Also for 2024, Audi SA will add the option of an Urban Edition to the A3 Sportback 35 TFSI and also the Q2 35 TFSI to give buyers even more ways to part with their money.

This imported Black Styling Package includes a bunch of changes, which includes:

  • Black exterior badging

  • The S Line exterior and interior package

  • Fine Nappa leather with S embossing

  • Matrix LED headlights

  • Privacy glass

  • 19-inch alloy wheels

  • A glass sunroof

  • A storage and luggage compartment package

  • The Technology package, including MMI navigation and Audi Connect

  • Three-zone comfort automatic air-conditioning

  • Electrically adjustable front seats

  • Audi virtual cockpit plus

  • A rear-view camera

  • Audi phone box with inductive charging

The S4 Black Edition is slightly better, and so this one includes these unique features over and above, well, the above:

  • Bang & Olufsen Premium sound system with 3D sound

  • Sport seats Plus, including electric adjustment and diamond quilting

  • A carbon boot spoiler

  • Pneumatically adjustable lumbar support with massage function for front seats

  • Seat heating

Local pricing, which includes a comprehensive 5-year/100,000 km Audi Freeway Plan service and maintenance plan, will be as follows:

Audi A4 35 TFSI S tronic Black Edition: R900,000

Audi A4 35 TDI S tronic Black Edition: R946,800

Audi A4 40 TFSI S tronic Black Edition: R952,400

Audi S4 TFSI quattro tiptronic Black Edition: R1,274,900

Take a look at the YouTube video that shows how good the Audi S4 is right now. Sure, it's not the Black Edition, but seeing as the changes added to make it a Black Edition don't affect the drive and handling, just picture this car with all the optional bits already added. One day the Audi SA YouTube channel will get the attention in deserves and will actually have new content on it: The 2023 Audi S4 is one of the BEST sedans for sale today! | TheSketchMonkey
