BENTLEY BRINGS THE PAST, PRESENT, AND ELECTRIFIED FUTURE TO THE ICONIC MONTEREY CAR WEEK. 1%-ER THINGS.

Bentley Motors returns to Monterey Car Week in true grand touring style, showcasing the best of its heritage, craftsmanship, and electrified future in a series of high-profile unveilings and immersive experiences across California’s famed peninsula. From the debut of the stunning EXP 15 concept car to the U.S. public premieres of its fourth-generation Continental GT and Flying Spur hybrids, Bentley’s Monterey showing will be much celebrated. The headline act at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is the world debut of Bentley’s striking EXP 15 design concept. Making its first public appearance on the exclusive Concept Lawn, this five-metre-plus stunner blends future-focused design with classic inspiration. Its bold proportions and upright grille take cues from the iconic 1930 Bentley Speed Six Gurney Nutting ‘Blue Train’ Coupe, a legend in its own right that joins the Monterey festivities for the first time. The Blue Train will be seen across multiple events throughout the week, including select appearances at the Home of Bentley, a luxurious brand experience lounge adjacent to the Pebble Beach Lodge. At the Home, guests will enjoy an inside look at Bentley’s coachbuilding expertise, interact with the latest models from Crewe, and even collaborate with Bentley’s design team to tailor their next dream machine through the Mulliner co-creation space. Over at The Quail, A Motorsport Gathering, Bentley will reveal the newest expressions of its fourth-generation lineup: Continental GT, GTC, and Flying Spur models in both Core and Azure trims, plus the latest Bentayga Speed. All are making their official U.S. debut, and each one pushes the envelope in design, technology, and performance. For those who want to get behind the wheel, select models will be available for exclusive test drives throughout the week.

Headlining the next-gen lineup is Bentley’s new High Performance Hybrid powertrain. It pairs a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with a powerful electric motor to deliver a formidable 500 kW and 930 Nm of torque, all while maintaining the brand’s renowned refinement. This marks the beginning of a bold new hybrid era, offering more choice for customers than ever before, whether it's a GT, convertible, or luxury sedan. Bentley’s bespoke coachbuilding arm, Mulliner, continues to blur the lines between craftsmanship and art. Making its own U.S. debut at The Quail is the new Batur Convertible, the latest hand-built masterpiece designed for the rare few. Also turning heads is a breakthrough in paint technology: Bentley’s new ‘ombre’ gradient finish, a seamless two-tone effect that flows from front to back. Commissioned through Mulliner, this is personalisation turned into performance art, and it makes its first public appearance on the Continental GT Speed. In a nod to Monterey’s coastal vibe, Bentley is also auctioning a one-off, handcrafted Bentley Surfboard, built using the brand’s signature Koa veneer, the same rich wood used in their vehicle interiors. It will be offered by Bonhams, with proceeds benefiting SurfabilityUK, a pioneering surf school offering adaptive surf programs for individuals with physical or neurological challenges. It’s a perfect blend of luxury and philanthropy.

Adding historical weight to Bentley’s Monterey showcase is the first-ever U.S. appearance of the 1939 Bentley Mark V Corniche - a car as rare as they come. Only one was ever built, and its story is nothing short of cinematic. Originally developed as Bentley’s exploration into aerodynamics and streamlined design, the body was destroyed during WWII. The chassis vanished, believed lost to time, until it was rediscovered 25 years ago. With Bentley’s support, a full restoration began in 2018 using period-correct Mark V components and the original blueprints. The car was completed in 2019, just in time for Bentley’s centenary, and now proudly wears its original registration: GRA270. This Monterey marks the Corniche’s first journey beyond UK and French soil. It will take part in the Tour d’Elegance on August 14, before claiming its rightful place on the Concours lawn at Pebble Beach on Sunday, the 17th.
