CAN YOU OUTRUN A POLICE VEHICLE?

We love our modified vehicles, don't we? Well, so do the police it seems, probably not yours though...

Whether it's just cosmetic, modifying the mechanicals for better performance; or functional for a purpose, like off-roading, many of us have tinkered with modification and aftermarket accessories at some point.

But, have you ever considered how police vehicles are modified? No? Well, they actually fall into both of the categories mentioned above. They receive mechanical work to make them faster, help them stop quicker, and cope with the extra electronics. There are functional aftermarket items too, such as bullet-proof doors and a prisoner cell, not to mention gun carriers and special bull-bars. They've got it all.

Police vehicles are actually pretty impressive, and that's what this video is all about. We get shown around the latest Dodge Durango and have a quick look at their Charger Pursuit too. Ever thought of trying to outrun the men in blue? It's a pretty lousy idea, if I'm honest, because, not only are they faster, they have radios to communicate with their popo buddies down the road, and they have guns. Big ones.

So, whichever side of the law you choose to be on, just know that you have at least one thing in common; modifying your cabbies, and that is pretty cool.

Enjoy the video!
