CAR MODS THAT MAKE YOUR CAR SLOWER! - AVOID THEM!
If you're into modifying cars you then have your personal preferences and style which is perfectly fine, and modifying doesn't always mean speed and performance either, but most of the time that's exactly what you want.
So in doing so, here are some mods that may make your car look like it can go 0 - 100km/h in just a few seconds but actually slow your ass down quite substantially!
- Huge Rear Wing - 9 out of 10 times if you buy a massive wing off eBay and install it yourself thinking you are gaining downforce, all you're doing is creating drag at high speed. If you have a fully setup aero kit and adjusted rear wing, then maybe.
- Excessive Negative Camber - If you're doing competitive track racing a few degrees of negative camber might help your traction, but if you're going for it primarily for looks then all you're doing is losing grip.
- Widebody Kit - All you're doing is making your car look sweet, but in doing so you're adding a ton of weight which is the number 1 killer of performance.
- Big Wheels - Slapping on a set of 22" wheels does nothing besides decrease the driving force and reduce acceleration.
