FAST & FURIOUS SUPRA UP FOR AUCTION IN LAS VEGAS
2021 marks the 20th anniversary of the original Fast and Furious movie. And what better way to honour the iconic film than placing a winning bid on the Fast and Furious Toyota Supra, which was driven by the late Paul Walker.
The first Fast and Furious movie didn't just have one Supra to film with, as a matter of fact, there were a total of eight Supra's, all visually modified to be replicas of the original one owned by Craig Lieberman.
The original Supra is considered the "Hero 1" car. This is used for close-up detailed shots of the interior and exterior, and is by far the most valuable Supra out of the lot. Because of this, it is never used for stunts whatsoever. The next best is the "Hero 2" car, which is the closest replica to the original Hero 1 car, and is used for closeup and detailed stunt scenes.
The Supra that is going up for auction is the Hero 2 car from the Fast and Furious, and was actually driven by Paul Walker in the movie. This, arguably, makes it more valuable in this case than the Hero 1 car. You will see this car used in the scene where Brian O'Conner chases Johnny Tran, and eventually takes him down after pulling a handbrake turn in the Supra.
Barrett-Jackson will have the honour of auctioning this highly collectable car between June 17-19, 2021, in Las Vegas.
