GRAN TURISMO 7 WILL BE MORE LIKE THE CLASSIC GT GAMES

The up and coming Gran Turismo 7 will resemble the classic GT titles in the series, says game designer, Kazunori Yamauchi.

Gran Turismo has been the most loved racing simulator for Sony's PlayStation console for over the past two decades and is still going strong. Over the years, Gran Turismo has adopted many more car brands and famous race tracks, and has even released a variety of different gameplay methods with the esports version of Gran Turismo, Gran Turismo Sport.

With the upcoming Gran Turismo 7 on the brink of being at our fingertips, the game designer has said that Gran Turismo will be more like the classic game titles in the sense that it pays homage to the origins of Japanese car culture.

Kazunori Yamauchi had this to say about Gran Turismo 7:

"I, myself, grew up as a car enthusiast surrounded by the influence of Japanese automobile manufacturers and the transmission of automobile media, and that is also the driving force behind my production. Although the title has been played worldwide, I have never forgotten that it originated in Japan, and now I feel the responsibility and mission of inheriting the Japanese automotive culture."
