MASERATI MC20 - 621BHP WITH F1 ENGINE TECH

Maserati introduces a whole new supercar offering in their fleet which they call the MC20 that produces 621bhp and even features some engine tech right off of an F1 car!

Maserati has been developing the MC20 for some time now, but it is finally ready and available for the world to see, drive and buy. But what makes the Maserati MC20 worthy of so much publicity all of a sudden? Well, if you haven't figured it out yet, the Maserati MC20 is completely unique in the sense that Maserati has now brought back a 2-seater supercar as opposed to the more traditional 4 seater grand tourer. Furthermore, the MC20 has many more tricks up its sleeves in the sense that its design was split between Maserati and the motorsport engineering company called Dallara that was responsible for parts such as a carbon-fibre structure with aluminium subframes for the suspension and powertrain to the Maserati MC20 that makes it far more of a performance car than other offerings from Maserati.

The "MC" in the name of the Maserati MC20 stands for Maserati Corse which is a statement by the Italian company that it will soon re-enter racing events and will most likely bring out track-only variants of the MC20 at a later stage. It is also speculated that there will be an electric version of the Maserati MC20 coming out sometime in the near future.

Maserati gave the MC20 a stunning turbocharged V6 engine that pumps out 621bhp that utilizes a rather unique twin-combustion system that is right off an F1 car! The drivetrain also features an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Maserati claims that the MC20 will do 0 - 60 mph in less than three seconds and will reach a top speed of over 200 mph.

Maserati has not yet confirmed any specifications around the electric variant of the MC20 just yet, although they are taking the MC20 EV project very seriously, and the same goes for the track-only editions as well.

Inside, you won't recognise the typical Maserati interior at first as the typical voluptuous Maserati seats and dashboard missing, instead, you'll find a far more minimalistic, sportier and classy interior that is focussed on racing.

The Maserati MC20 is without a doubt something special!
