NEVER-DRIVEN 1993 PORSCHE 911 RSR SELLS FOR $2.25 MILLION

This race-ready 911 RSR Porsche is one of the rarest 964 variants in existence. This example has only driven six miles making it practically brand-spanking-new!!

The brand-new 1993 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR looks pretty grimy in the pictures, but up close it is a brand-new car with its factory-applied cosmoline rust protection. It recently sold for $2.25 Million at RM Sotheby's Villa Erba event and the fact that it had incredibly low mileage is the only thing that makes it unique.

It is one of only 51 models of the 964 Carrera RSR's ever built, the RSR was built as a track-ready beast, but in spite of that, the original customer specified it with a full red leather interior. The car was definitely ordered by someone with an eccentric taste. The 964 Carrera RSR combined the 911 Turbo's wide body with a 3.8-liter naturally aspirated flat-six that pumps out an impressive 350 horsepower.

Back in the day, the 911 RSR hit the track in events all over the globe and typically kicked major behind everywhere it raced. Even though it might seem like a brand-new car, it will need some work if the buyer decides to drive the car. Car's are definitely not meant to sit this long without being driven.
