THE 2025 CARRERA S IS A PERFECTLY POISED PORSCHE WITH 353 KW TO PLAY WITH.

Few names in automotive history carry the same weight as ‘Carrera’ when it comes to the Porsche 911. Rooted in Porsche’s motorsport heritage, the Carrera badge first appeared in the 1950s, inspired by the brand’s success in the Carrera Panamericana endurance race. Over the decades, the Carrera line has evolved, balancing everyday usability with the raw performance that defines the 911. Now, with the launch of the new 911 Carrera S, Porsche continues this legacy by delivering a model that bridges the gap between the standard Carrera and the high-performance Carrera GTS T-Hybrid. The latest iteration of the 911 Carrera S receives a significant powertrain upgrade, bringing performance levels that were previously the domain of the outgoing GTS model. Under the rear decklid, the iconic 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six has been thoroughly reworked, now delivering 353 kW and 530 Nm of torque - an increase of 22 kW over its predecessor. Key upgrades include new turbochargers and an optimized charge-air cooling system, enhancing both efficiency and throttle response. Thanks to these improvements, the Carrera S Coupe catapults from 0 - 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, making it one of the quickest non-Turbo Carreras ever. The power is managed by Porsche’s razor-sharp eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (PDK), ensuring seamless shifts and maximum acceleration. With a top speed of 308 km/h, the new Carrera S cements itself as a formidable contender in the performance coupe segment. Porsche has not only injected more power into the Carrera S but also refined its driving dynamics. The standard chassis setup includes staggered 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels, wrapped in high-performance rubber for optimal grip. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+), a feature unavailable on the base Carrera, comes as standard, delivering sharper cornering capabilities.

Braking performance sees a significant boost as well, with the Carrera S borrowing the brake setup from the previous GTS. The system features larger, red-painted calipers paired with 408 mm front and 380 mm rear discs, ensuring superior stopping power. For those seeking even more track-ready performance, Porsche offers optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) and PASM sports suspension, which lowers the ride height by 10 mm. Rear-wheel steering is also available as an option, enhancing both agility at lower speeds and stability at higher velocities. Step inside the new Carrera S, and it’s immediately clear that Porsche has elevated the cabin experience. Standard equipment now includes a Black leather package, with smooth-finish leather adorning the seats, headrests, dashboard, and door panels. Coupé models can be configured as either a two-seater or with folding rear seats at no additional cost, while the Cabriolet comes standard with a rear seat setup. For those seeking an even more tailored feel, an extended leather package is available, covering additional surfaces such as the glove box lid, side panels, and seat bases. Porsche also offers contrast stitching in Crayon as an option, adding a touch of individuality. Technology-wise, the Carrera S benefits from upgraded standard features across the model range, including Matrix LED headlights and a wireless smartphone charger. Optional extras include a front-axle lift system, HD-Matrix LED headlights, and the Sport Chrono package with the Porsche Track Precision app - perfect for those who will track their 911s. The Carerra S offers the purest 911 experience without stepping into Turbo or GT territory.
