PUMA X PORSCHE COLAB RESULTS IN LIMITED EDITION 911 TURBO SNEAKERS.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the legendary Porsche 911 Turbo, Porsche has teamed up with sportswear giant Puma to launch an exclusive collection of twelve distinct sneaker designs. Each model is limited to just 911 units, making this a must-have for both Porsche enthusiasts and sneaker collectors alike. This collaboration is more than just a nod to the 911 Turbo - it’s a celebration of a partnership that has seen Porsche and Puma fuse automotive excellence with cutting-edge fashion. The two companies have a history of creating gear that pays homage to Porsche’s racing heritage while infusing Puma’s athletic innovation, making this latest release a fitting tribute to one of Porsche’s most iconic models. Two of the sneakers in this collection draw direct inspiration from historic Porsche vehicles, capturing the essence of their iconic design elements. The “Turbo No. 1” sneaker, wrapped in metallic silver, is a tribute to the legendary Porsche gifted to Louise Piëch on her 70th birthday. Inside, the sneaker features the same red and blue tartan pattern found in the interior of the very first 911 Turbo, a design that remains etched in Porsche lore. The “Turbo 930” sneaker, finished in Oak Green Metallic, pays homage to Dr. Ferry Porsche's 1976 Turbo. Its green tartan interior mirrors that of Dr. Porsche’s own car, bringing a personal touch to this luxurious footwear. Both models boast top-tier materials—full-grain leather for the “Turbo No. 1” and nubuck leather for the “Turbo 930”—ensuring that these sneakers don’t just look good, but feel good too.

A standout feature of all the sneakers is the dynamic vintage turbo lettering on the exterior, alongside a subtle yet unmistakable Porsche logo. The design also cleverly incorporates elements from the 911 Turbo itself, with the heel section echoing the distinctive “whale fin” rear spoiler and horizontal red tail lights. To top it off, a 3D-printed Porsche Crest on the heel and a removable plaque celebrating the 50th anniversary on the laces add a touch of exclusivity. The sneakers are built on Puma’s new motorsport-inspired “Road Rider” silhouette, combining style with performance. In addition to the “Turbo No. 1” and “Turbo 930,” Porsche and Puma have launched ten exclusive market editions, each inspired by a specific Porsche 911 Turbo from different regions around the globe. These limited editions, also capped at 911 pairs each, feature exterior colours chosen from Porsche’s original 1975-1977 colour charts, representing markets like Germany, France, Japan, and the U.S. Available from August 29th, 2024, the 50th anniversary Porsche 911 Turbo sneakers, including the “Turbo No. 1” and “Turbo 930” editions, are priced at €169. They can be purchased online at shop.porsche.com and at the Porsche Museum Shop in Stuttgart, Germany. Each pair comes with an extra set of black laces for customization and is packaged in an exclusive black Porsche Puma sports bag, complete with a zipper and adjustable shoulder strap, further underscoring the collection’s premium nature. This collaboration between Porsche and Puma is not just a celebration of the 911 Turbo’s legacy but a testament to the enduring appeal of two brands that continue to push the boundaries of design and performance and we want some at regular retail prices, not the reseller price that surely going to pop up with a 150 % mark up.
