THE POWERFUL BMW M8 COMPETITION IS THEIR FASTEST CAR EVER
This is the fastest and most powerful M car ever built but is the BMW M8 Competition the best they've ever made? The guys at Lovecars take it out for a review.
It sure is pretty in a classy sort of way, slightly aggressive but well balanced, with curves in all the right places. It's the BMW M8 Competition, and it's the latest grand tourer from the Munich manufacturer.
Under the hood sits a twin-charged 4.4-litre V8 that produces 625hp and 750nm of torque, making it top-of-the-pops in terms of the most powerful model ever produced. This also translates to a 0-100km/h of 3.3 seconds, while top speed is limited to 250km/h.
With performance like that, one would expect the Beemer to easily slot into the sports car category too, but does it have the passion and drama that is expected of this class, and is the grand tourer moniker the right designation.
We join Lovecars as they take both the coupe and convertible for a spin to find out.
