THE MANHART TR 950 IS A PORSCHE GT2 RS WITH ALL THE AFTERMARKET BELLS & WHISTLES
When it comes to high-end performance tuning, few names carry as much weight as MANHART. The German aftermarket specialist has a well-earned reputation for transforming already impressive cars into absolute monsters, offering everything from subtle performance tweaks to full-blown, no-expense-spared overhauls. And while a fully sorted MANHART build will set you back a serious chunk of change, the beauty of their approach is that customers can also buy individual upgrades over time - turning their prized rides into MANHART specials one step at a time. They’ve worked on Porsches before under the TR nameplate, but this latest creation? It’s easily their wildest yet. Enter the MANHART TR 950, a no-holds-barred evolution of the already ferocious Porsche 911 GT2 RS (991). With the Weissach and Clubsport packages as its foundation, MANHART has taken this twin-turbocharged beast and cranked everything up to 11. The result? A staggering 966 hp (710 kW) and 1,090 Nm of torque, officially launching it into the realm of hypercar performance. That level of power isn’t achieved with just a simple remap. MANHART has gone deep into the GT2 RS’s 3.8-litre flat-six, fitting it with larger TTH turbochargers, a custom IPD aluminium intake manifold, upgraded charge air and engine coolers from CSF, and a high-performance water intercooler by MANTHEY, complete with a larger tank for improved cooling. The exhaust setup has also been enhanced with MANHART Downpipes Sport featuring 200-cell HJS catalytic converters - though these aren’t TÜV-approved, so they’re strictly for export. To ensure all that extra grunt is delivered smoothly, the 7-speed dual-clutch PDK gearbox has been reinforced with a MANHART clutch upgrade by Dodson and recalibrated software.
Of course, raw power means nothing without control, and MANHART has fine-tuned the GT2 RS’s handling with a MANTHEY-KW coilover suspension system. The stock carbon-ceramic brakes remain untouched - because, let’s be honest, Porsche already nailed that part - but MANHART does offer custom brake upgrades on request. The car sits on a set of MANHART Forged Line wheels, measuring 9.5x21 inches up front and 12x22 inches at the rear, wrapped in grippy Continental SportContact 7 rubber (255/30ZR21 and 335/25ZR22). And if black wheels aren’t your thing, you’d be wrong, but MANHART offers custom colour options to suit individual tastes. Visually, the TR 950 exudes aggression, thanks to a full suite of carbon-fibre add-ons from DB Carbon. A revised front spoiler with side extensions, aero flics for increased downforce, carbon air intake frames, side skirts, rear air intake inserts, and a redesigned diffuser all contribute to the car’s unmistakable presence. MANHART’s signature decorative set adds a final touch, with grey stripes and lettering contrasting against the sleek matt silver paint protection. Inside, the red interior leather trim has been swapped out for black leather, and custom MANHART floor mats complete the package. With the TR 950, MANHART has taken an already extreme Porsche and dialled it up to the next level. It’s not just a GT2 RS on ‘roids - it’s a proper, no-compromise, supercar-slaying machine.
