POLESTAR HAS AN ARCTIC CIRCLE COLLECTION - IT'S PRETTY COOL.

Polestar is turning up the heat in the Arctic once again, unveiling a trio of rally-inspired machines that redefine electric performance on ice. Following the success of the one-off Polestar 2 Arctic Circle in 2022, the Swedish brand has now expanded the concept to include the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4, creating a complete line-up of bespoke, snow-shredding EVs. Making their grand debut at the 2025 FAT Ice Race in Zell am See, Austria, on February 1, these one-of-a-kind creations are a testament to Polestar’s deep-rooted motorsport DNA. The Arctic Circle lineup isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s the result of decades of motorsport expertise, honed by Polestar’s Head of Driving Dynamics, Joakim Rydholm. With over 30 years in rallying and multiple Swedish podium finishes under his belt, Rydholm has meticulously applied his knowledge to infuse these Arctic Circle editions with authentic rally spirit. Developed and fine-tuned in the unforgiving landscapes of northern Sweden, these machines are designed to excel where grip is a luxury and precision is paramount. Joakim Rydholm says: “We created something truly special when we worked on the Polestar 2 Arctic Circle, and to now apply that formula to our two new SUVs has been a fun and challenging task. We have worked closely with our leading technology partners to bring bespoke engineering solutions to these cars that emphasise our performance DNA – and make them incredibly fun to drive.”

Each Arctic Circle Polestar follows a carefully crafted performance blueprint, engineered at one of Polestar’s Swedish R&D facilities. The key enhancements include:

Raised Ride Height: Increased ground clearance for superior capability on snow and ice.

Custom Öhlins 3-Way Adjustable Dampers: Precision-tuned suspension for optimal control in extreme conditions.

Specialised Pirelli Studded Tyres: Maximum grip when the surface is anything but predictable.

OZ Racing Wheels – Rally Legend Edition: World debut of a new lightweight performance wheel designed for rallying.

Quad Evo Front Spotlights by Stedi: Enhanced visibility for those long Arctic nights.

Recaro Bucket Seats: Performance seating for total driver engagement.

To further push the rally aesthetic and functionality, each vehicle features a unique combination of adventure-ready accessories, including skis, roof racks, storage solutions, and recovery equipment - highlighting Polestar’s commitment to merging performance with practicality. Michael Lohscheller, Polestar CEO, says: “The Arctic Circle collection illustrates our unique performance DNA, rooted in motorsport and combined with Scandinavian design. We develop our cars under challenging conditions within the Arctic Circle in Sweden, and at the FAT Ice Race we will showcase that on ice there is nothing better than a Polestar. We are really excited to be part of this special event with our full model line-up, where it’s all about car culture and the performance experience.”

Each vehicle is modified as follows:
