THE UBER-POPULAR VOLVO EX30 - NOW AVAILABLE IN CROSS COUNTRY GUISE - WE LIKE IT.

Imagine this: a winter cabin, deep in the Swedish wilderness, a crackling fire, and a conversation about adventure. That’s exactly how Volvo pulled the wraps off the new EX30 Cross Country, its rugged, go-anywhere version of the already successful EX30 electric SUV. Volvo wants you to rethink what adventure means in an electric world, and the EX30 Cross Country is its ultimate enabler. Volvo doesn’t just want to sell you a car; it wants to immerse you in an outdoor lifestyle. Alongside the EX30 Cross Country, the brand is launching a dedicated ‘Cross Country Experience’ package, bundling accessories, gear, and information to help owners make the most of their explorations. Whether you’re escaping the city for a weekend hike or tackling the frozen landscapes of northern Sweden, this little electric adventurer is built for the journey.

“We launched our first Cross Country car over 25 years ago, and this concept of durable, all-weather cars is core to the Volvo brand,” says Jim Rowan, Volvo Cars’ CEO. “In Sweden, we face harsh winters, but we also like to make the most of them by getting out and exploring our amazing nature, even when it’s minus 20 Celsius outside. That’s why we want to deliver a fully rounded experience, not simply a car, to our EX30 Cross Country customers.” To make sure EX30 Cross Country owners truly embrace the adventure lifestyle, Volvo’s ‘Cross Country Experience’ package delivers a tailored set of accessories, including a load carrier and roof basket for all your outdoor gear, 18-inch all-terrain tyres for superior off-road grip, and mudflaps to protect against dirt and debris “We know that more and more people are seeking ways to get closer to nature,” says Jim Rowan. “This is why with our new Cross Country Experience, we aim to create an entire ecosystem around those models, supporting our customers as they embrace adventure.”

At its core, the EX30 Cross Country is still an EX30—a small, fully electric SUV designed for urban life. But Volvo has infused it with a dose of ruggedness to ensure it’s just as comfortable off the beaten path as it is on city streets. Key upgrades include an increased ground clearance for better capability over rough terrain, larger wheels, including the option of 18-inch all-terrain tyres, and all-wheel drive to handle the unpredictable conditions of the great outdoors. With a range of up to 427 km on a single charge and the ability to juice up from 10-80% in just 26 minutes, this electric SUV isn’t just about capability - it’s about confidence, no matter where the road (or lack of one) takes you. Volvo has ensured that the EX30 Cross Country doesn’t just perform well in nature, it looks the part too. The front and rear feature chunky skid plates, the wheel arches are flared for extra protection, and the front grille sports a topographical artwork of Sweden’s Kebnekaise mountain range - a subtle nod to the landscapes this SUV is built to explore. The rear boot lid also gets a dark-coloured finish, reinforcing its rugged personality. Inside, the EX30 Cross Country retains all the clever design and tech that made the standard EX30 such a hit - Smart storage solutions like a sliding central storage tunnel and an under-console glove compartment, a removable, washable rear storage bin that doubles as a waste bin, a ‘Will it fit?’ guide on the boot lid ensures your gear is packed efficiently, Google is built-in, including Google Maps for seamless navigation to the most remote destinations, and the Volvo EX30 app which allows you to preheat the car remotely - because no one likes getting into a freezing car after a day in the snow.
