THOUSANDS OF BEES SWARM INTO A CAR IN HULL
A swarm of up to 20,000 bees has taken over a car in Hull!
The bees took residence in her Nissan car parked outside her front door, according to Shirley Taylor.
Chris Coulson, chairman of the Beverley Beekeepers' Association has been trying to lure the bees out of the vehicle since the swarm and says it is not clear as to what had attracted the bees to the car.
"I just went indoors and closed all the windows and the neighbours did as well", Shirley said, "it has been a bit of a hair-raising experience".
"It is like Nightmare on Watt Street... There were thousands all over the place and I have been stung and my daughter and granddaughter also got stung".
When Shirley asked her husband, "why pick on my car?" her joker husband replied that it was because of "all the Bee Gees CDs in the car".
Mr Coulson says he has never seen such a large swarm descend on a car before, saying he hopes he can remove the bees and find them a "more acceptable" home.
