CHECK OUT THROTL'S KICK-ASS ICE CREAM VAN CONVERSION

Not every project vehicle is performance-orientated, sometimes they're fun and functional, just like this ice cream truck conversion by the guys at throtl.

Everyone thought it was a joke when Evan arrived at the throtl office with a 30-odd-year-old ice cream van, but he had a vision for something much more excellent.

It was apparent almost right away that this van was on its last legs and, literally, rusted through in places on the roof. It was so bad, in fact, that they decided to chop off the raised fibreglass roof and find themselves another van for the project.

Now, you may be asking why. Well, that's easy. Instead of an ice cream van, they'll use it as a van for merchandise and parts at car shows around the US. But, that's not to say they weren't going to run with the ice cream van theme. This thing is wrapped in the most insane wrap we've seen in ages.

This is a project we've been eagerly waiting for, so expect us to follow their progress as the van gets new wheels and tyres, upgraded suspension and cooling system. They've also got plans for a fridge and freezer install, as well as a banging sounds system.
