VIDEO: CRUSHING A BENTLEY GT...

DO NOT WATCH THIS VIDEO if you like nice cars. It's hard to imagine that this Bentley GT, which is in a mint condition, is going to get crushed – even all the parts will be destroyed. 

In some locales, if you illegally street-race your car, the authorities may crush them. Likewise, cars imported illegally but those mostly go into compactors and come out as cubes. We can only wonder what was the real reason.

However, this Bentley GT may have been a pre-production prototype or a test mule vehicle. In these cases, the car parts are not allowed to be sold on the market because of insurance reasons.

The most obvious reason why some cars get crushed is so they take up less space but what about scrapping, shredding and junking cars to begin with? Recycling cars is a lucrative business and it makes environmental sense too.

Basically, when the car has done its job, it must be completely crushed, that’s what the big automotive brands are doing with all their pre-production cars. All the companies who are running the business of crushing cars in a car compactor must supply evidence to the manufacturer that the vehicle was completely destroyed and no parts from the vehicle were sold off.

Anyway, it’s a big waste of a perfectly good luxury car, although it is cool to see it is getting all mashed-up, look at that tire POP!
