INTRODUCING THE BRABUS 930, A COMPREHENSIVELY TWEAKED MERCEDES-AMG S 63 E PERFORMANCE WITH, YOU GUESSED IT, 930 HP.

When we spot a Mercedes wearing BRABUS badges, it makes us smile for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it means that someone decided that all the awesomeness packed into a Mercedes simply isn’t enough and sought more from a world-renowned aftermarket tuner. And secondly, because we know that the person in question clearly has standards as high as their income. We’re talking about the full BRABUS things though, not those lame-ass G55 4x4s with a set of bumpers and badges and nothing else. BRABUS and Mercedes-Benz have been intertwined for many years, and usually, when you see a BRABUS badge replacing the OEM Mercedes-AMG badge, you know that some quality upgrades have been carried out. Even in different countries, there are specially-appointed BRABUS agents that have been vetted and are trusted to fit the components. While it is rare to find a BRABUS package that includes engine mods outside of Germany, it does happen on rare occasions. The Bottrop-based tuning company has been in the game for more than 45 years, and the company has managed to stay relevant in the tough aftermarket industry that moves along as fast as mobile phones do. When it became clear that automakers were dead-set on moving over to hybrids and fully electric cars, many thought the tuners of the world would be in a bit of trouble, but that hasn’t been the case at BRABUS. The company has pooled its extensive expertise and has recently released comprehensive upgrade packages for some of the latest hybrid-powered performance cars from Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG. It seems that extracting more power from these setups is quite possible if you have the skills. Just the other day the company released the full upgrade package for the latest Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance. This one was called the BRABUS Rocket 1000 and the upgrades took the car to an astounding 1,000 hp power output with an equally amazing torque figure of 1,820 Nm.

It was the first conversion package with a 4-digit power output, and it was on a hybrid-powered car. In keeping with that theme, BRABUS turned its attention to the same hybrid Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance, and they call it Vollkommen. Basically, it means Perfection which is just what buyers of these cars demand. Clever. This version is tamed down ever so slightly, but 930 hp is still a monstrous power figure. This version is more about the luxury and details though, as you can see from the images and video. The amount of exposed carbon fibre added into the mix is next-level. The BRABUS 930 features a front spoiler with raised side flaps, carbon attachments for the side air intakes integrated into the front apron, a BRABUS radiator grille with exposed carbon RamAir intakes, rear carbon inserts and spoilers and a set of new 22-inch BRABUS Monoblock ZM “Platinum Edition” high-tech forged wheels. Under that expansive bonnet changes to the setup and tuning sees power rise from the OEM 620 kW and 1,400 Nm to 684 kW with 1,510 Nm. Even though the car is a heavy thing that tips the scales at a whopping 2,600 kg, the all-wheel-drive BRABUS 930 is able to accelerate from a standstill to the usual 100 km/h benchmark speed in a mere 3.2 seconds while the car’s top speed is electronically limited to 290 km/h. Inside the BRABUS 930 is a complete Masterpiece interior crafted from black high-grade leather with spatterings of exposed carbon fibre making up some impeccable detailing. The seats are given the BRABUS Seashell Diamond quilting pattern as well as matching black topstitching and piping. A selection of cockpit elements are anodized in Shadow Grey and high-gloss sealed BRABUS Signature Carbon elements are integrated into the dashboard and the centre console. Unlike the BRABUS Rocket 1000, this upgrade package hasn’t been limited to just 25 units, there will be as many on the road as people will buy.

Take a look at the YouTube video that helps give new hope to the world of performance hybrids as it showcases the upgrade package from German tuner BRABUS, created for the new Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance.
