THE COST OF EVERY CAR FROM TOKYO DRIFT
Have you ever wondered how much the cars cost from the Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift movie?
Original movie cars find themselves in a price bracket all on their own, and differ greatly to that of a replica or the same make and model.
Some of the cars featured in Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift were, without a doubt, some of the most iconic cars to make it to film of all time.
Although Tokyo Drift was shot in Japan, and was largely based around the underground JDM racing scene, Universal studios still managed to check in some old school American muscle as well.
For example, the final race in the movie featured a 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback with probably the most questioned engine swap ever to be seen on screen, the Nissan RB26 (Skyline R34 GTR) engine. The original Mustang in the movie sold for $180,000.
Here are the prices for what the other original movie cars sold for:
- 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo - $25,000
- Nissan Silvia S15 Spec-R - $20,000
- Nissan Skyline GTR R33 - $50,000
- Mazda RX-8 - $20,000
- Mazda RX-7 Veilside - $80,000
- Mitsubishi Evo IX - $35,000
- Nissan 350Z Veilside - 130,000
- Plymouth Road Runner - $187,000
