Dr Christiaan Barnard has nothing on the transplant these guys have done with their widebody BMW E30. They had a desire to get a bit more power out of their box shaped Beemer, so what better engine to chuck in than a 2JZ-GTE straight out of a Toyota Supra, but stock is not where they left the engine.
The Toyota Supra 2JZ-GTE has been one of the worlds most loved engines due to its ability to adapt to modifications exceptionally well. Because of its design, it handles extremely well to boost response and has a very wide torque curve. Furthermore, there are so many aftermarket performance modifications available for the engine. It's able to reach 1,000hp relatively easily while still offering a respectable amount of reliability under heavy stress from being tuned to the max.
