A FEROCIOUSLY SEXY FERRARI FROM TIMES GONE BY.
An 80s icon, with a pure V8 heart, pedigree blood flowing through it's veins and that classic red paintwork every Ferrari fan loves.
The Ferrari 328 GTS was the successor to the Ferrari 308 GTS and while mechanically still based on the 308 GTS, small modifications were made to the body style and engine, most notably an increase in engine displacement to 3.2 L for increased power and torque output. 7,400 Ferrari 328s were produced by the time the model was replaced by the new 348 in 1989. The 328 is considered by some Ferrari enthusiasts to be one of the most reliable Ferraris, unlike some models, most engine maintenance can be performed without lowering the engine from the vehicle.
The 328 GTS model was one of the final developments of the normally aspirated transverse V8 engine 2-seat series. The 328 figures in the model title referred to the total cubic capacity of the engine, 3.2 litres, and 8 for the number of cylinders. With the horsepower that modern hot hatches, never mind supercars and hypercars are producing the 328 GTS’ 270HP power output might seem really insignificant, but back in its heyday it was quite a fast little supercar, managing 0-100km/h in 5.9 seconds and topping out at 262km/h.
It’s also one of those Ferrari models that has kept its value brilliantly over the years, with collectors easily paying up to $100 000 for a mint example. This particular car is a well-kept 1988 model finished in Rossa Corsa with a classic black interior. A perfect and timeless combination for most Ferraris.
An iconic Ferrari from the 80s, which is still an epic car to own, even today. When it comes to classic Ferraris, this is one of the ones we couldn’t mind parking in our garage.
