BUGATTI CHIRON VS FORMULA 1 CAR IN A 0-300KPH DASH
Take a look at this ambitious comparison between a Bugatti Chiron, the fastest production car ever made, vs a Formula 1 car, the fastest racing car ever made. In a 0 - 300kph dash, hypothetically, which one would win?
The Bugatti Chiron has claimed the status of being the world's fastest production car ever made. It features a gigantic W16 8.0 L turbocharged engine, which pushes out a scary 1,500hp and a neck-breaking 1600 Nm of torque, has a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and weighs in at around 1920kg without a driver.
On the other hand, a modern Formula 1 car has a V6 1.6 litre double overhead camshaft reciprocating engine. It produces 900hp and 720 Nm of torque, sports an 8-speed sequential gearbox and weighs in at around 700kg without a driver.
Although the Bugatti Chiron produces over twice the power of the Formula 1 car, it is nearly three times as heavy. Plus, both cars are tuned vastly differently.
In a battle between the Chiron and a Formula 1 car, the Formula 1 car takes the cake by quite a significant margin. The Bugatti Chiron does 0 - 300kph in 14.2 seconds, whereas the Formula 1 car will do it in 10 seconds flat.
