ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING TOWERS COULD REPLACE GAS STATIONS' ONE DAY!!
The charging tower is a concept created for a new urban development in Shanghai by Ennead Lab. It is multiple levels housing for electric cars.
In order to accommodate both a small, urban and pedestrian-friendly site and to maximize the number of cars simultaneously utilizing a standard charging system. The whole idea behind the concept is to combine existing charging technologies with existing stack-parking concepts.
At the ground level, super-charge stations are housed beneath a light-weight canopy.
With two charging speeds, drivers who can afford to kill time can go and shop or have lunch, while others can stop just long enough to top up with energy before continuing on.
Charging stations can be placed anywhere electric lines are located, and usage patterns may differ from gas stations.
