EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR YOUR FIRST TRACK DAY

With track racing, there are some essentials you need to prep your car, here is everything you need with you for your first track day.

Regardless of what type of racing you intend on doing, your car is going to be hammered one way or another To prevent possible engine damage from the abuse, there are a number of things you need in order to take every precaution necessary for your first track day.

The first thing you want to do is make sure your car is running optimally in its current form. Make sure all your engine fluids are at the right level and you have given your car fresh new oil which is to the factory specifications, as well as power steering fluid, brake fluid and coolant. What you want to check over as well is that your battery is secured and that your terminals are connected well, some track officials might even check this out on your car before letting you out on the track.

What you have to make sure is in perfect condition as well are your tyres. Make sure you have sufficient thread and that there are no objects stuck in the tyres that could possibly cause a blow-out. You also want to glance over your brake rotors and pads. Make sure you have more than enough padding-left, even consider changing to a race-spec brake pad for your track sessions.

Furthermore, what will save on your tyre cost and ensure maximum tyre and grip performance is wheel alignment and the right amount of air/nitrogen in your tires.
