Jimmy Broadbent has a sim racing YouTube channel with hundreds of thousands of followers, owns an R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R, and lives in a shed.
He drives the original Godzilla, a 1983 R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R, among others, thanks to his incredibly successful sim racing channel on YouTube. He's so successful in fact, that he commentates on sim races, and he's made the transition from sim racing to driving cars around a track in real life too.
Jimmy Broadbent also lives in a shed at the bottom of his mum's garden. The question of why has always puzzled many people, including Mike from DriveTribe, who set out to find out why.
It's quite a sad story, to be honest, and all started when his depression got so bad that he lost his job and split from his girlfriend. Without a dime to his name, he was forced to head home to his parents and move into a small shed in the garden.
It was here that he started his YouTube channel at the foot of his bed. He's spent years on his sim, racing and building up his fan base. He still faces his demons, but his outlet is his racing. He's travelled the world with Grand Turismo and met good people along the way. This is his story.
