MASERATI REVEALS THE NEW 470 KW GT2 STRADALE AT YAS MARINA CIRCUIT

Maserati took over Yas Marina Circuit for a couple of adrenaline-fuelled days, marking the overseas debut of the GT2 Stradale in proper style. Over 100 guests - including media, clients, and VIPs - got a front-row seat to the brand’s latest innovations, all set against the amazing backdrop of Abu Dhabi’s iconic F1 circuit. With the W Hotel providing trackside luxury, the stage was set for an experience crammed with speed, craftsmanship, and exclusivity. At the heart of the event was the GT2 Stradale - a road-legal beast distilled from Maserati’s GT2 race car, which dominated the 2024 Fanatec GT2 European Series. The numbers tell the story: 16 pole positions, 12 wins, seven second-place finishes, and five third-place trophies, culminating in championship titles for both drivers and teams in the Am class. That same track-bred performance is now available for the road, with a 470 kW Nettuno V6 launching the GT2 Stradale from 0-100 km/h in a blistering 2.8 seconds, topping out at 324 km/h. Limited to just 914 units - honouring Maserati’s founding year - it’s a collector’s dream wrapped in carbon fibre and race-proven engineering. Guests got a taste of its capabilities through heart-stopping hot laps, courtesy of professional drivers. Beyond the GT2 Stradale, Maserati’s full lineup was on display. The Grecale took to the streets of Abu Dhabi, showcasing its versatility in an exclusive city drive, while the GranTurismo Trofeo and Modena offered guests the chance to unleash their power on track. With the Trofeo’s 404 kW twin-turbo Nettuno V6 hitting 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and the Modena’s 360 kW version following closely at 3.9 seconds, there was no shortage of speed. The GranTurismo Folgore, GranCabrio Trofeo, and MC20 completed the lineup, each representing Maserati’s signature blend of performance and Italian craftsmanship.

Maserati’s partners helped dial up the experience even further. Sonus Faber provided an immersive soundtrack in the garages, echoing the premium audio systems found in Maserati’s road cars. Sparco ensured top-tier track gear, while Bridgestone tyres kept the Grecale and GranTurismo glued to the tarmac, whether on the circuit or the road. Capping off the event, guests indulged in a Maserati-curated dinner at Cipriani Yas Marina, featuring signature Modena dishes like Tortellini in Brodo and vanilla gelato with aged balsamic - because even speed enthusiasts appreciate a proper Italian meal. Maserati’s leadership, including Philippe Claverol and Maurizio Zuares, underscored the brand’s relentless pursuit of performance and innovation. More than just a track day, the event showed how Maserati is pushing boundaries, delivering thrilling experiences, and keeping the spirit of Modena alive on the road and track. Maserati’s Head of Overseas Region, Philippe Claverol, commented: “The GT2 Stradale is a testament to Maserati’s racing heritage and dedication to high-performance craftsmanship. Bringing this model to the Yas Marina F1 Circuit for its overseas debut allows our clients and media to witness firsthand the evolution of Maserati’s engineering excellence. This event showcases our commitment to creating thrilling, high-performance vehicles that continue to push boundaries for the benefit of our customers.”
