MERCEDES BENZ TEASES NEW EV RANGE RECORD WITH THE VISION EQXX
With more and more major car manufacturers hopping on the EV train, it seems as if the main focus around which ones win over the customers are electric vehicles with the most outrageous performance. But that trend is quickly dying off as people realise that function and practicality are key when investing in a new day-to-day car.
Mercedes Benz has a goal of going completely electric by 2030, and has invested heavily in electric research and development. However, they have teased a new upcoming replacement for the EQS, which they call the Vision EQXX, which will feature a record-breaking 1,000 kilometres of range (620 miles) on a single charge.
Of course, this is in ideal scenarios and perfect conditions, but it just goes to show how the technology has improved in such a short period of time. The majority of customers who are in the market for an electric vehicle, highly value range over sheer performance according to Mercedes. And, being Mercedes, they will offer a decent punch in the performance nevertheless.
