NEW VW GOLF GTI CLUBSPORT 45 - EVEN BETTER?
Its been 45 years since the German car brand Volkswagen introduced the original hot hatch, the mightly VW Golf GTI and to celebrate its 45th anniversary, VW has now released an even more exclusive and exciting variant of the iconic GTI Clubsport.
The new VW Golf Clubsport 45 features the same 2.0 litre 4 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that is used in the regular Golf 8 GTI and Clubsport variant, and to features a 7 speed dual-clutch automatic DSG gearbox to get its power down to the front wheels.
The VW Golf GTI Clubsport 45 does however receive a bump in power and now produces a rather overachieving 296 bhp and impressive 400-newton metres of torque. The new GTI Clubsport 45 will also do an impressive 0 - 62 mph in just 5.6 seconds and will reach a top speed of 166 mph.
