NEWLY RELEASED INFO SHOWS THE MUSTANG DARK HORSE IS THE MOST POWERFUL N/A 5.0 V8 MUSTANG EVER.

We’ve seen plenty to do with the next generation Ford Mustang and by all accounts the visuals definitely show that the new Pony car should keep the sportscar among the top-selling in the world. Releasing them in right-hand drive markets was definitely a very good idea by the number crunchers and the men in white coats. We’ve been patiently waiting for new on the power figures that the model line will have, and that time is now. “Every time someone gets behind the wheel of a Mustang, we know they want to feel that strong connection to their vehicle – and we’re just as invested in creating that bond,” said Suzanne Robinson, Coyote engine program supervisor. “With the increased responsiveness you get from the new dual throttle bodies, we’re wringing every ounce of performance we can out of our engine so Mustang enthusiasts can have that experience.”
At the entry to the Mustang range we find the 2.3-litre, 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine and it has a healthy 235 kW on tap with 475 Nm of torque, which is the best power rating of any 4- or 6-cylinder Mustang to date. A rung up on the ladder we have the most popular model, the iconic 5.0-litre V8 powered by the 4th-generation Coyote engine. This one is also quite healthy in the available horses stakes, we now see the standard power at 362 kW with 566 Nm of torque. The first-ever Mustang Dark Horse, which is set to become an option in the model lineup with all future Mustang generations, is the most powerful non-Shelby Mustang having a brilliant power rating of 373 Kw with 567 Nm of torque. That’s a nice, round 500 hp right there.
