NORWAY'S WIRELESS CHARGING ROADS

Take a look at Norway's incredible wireless charging roads.

Norway has implemented a regulation stating that all new vehicles sold after 2025 need to be fully electric to cut down on emissions. With that bold rule in place, there has to at least be some sort of a solution for charging.

Norway's taxi cabs are not only fully electric, they are each fitted with a wireless charger situated beneath the car that works using electromagnetic induction. This unit makes a close connection with chargers that are fitted under the surface of the road, and is able to charge moving cars up to 75KW without the use of a single cable!

This technology is only for taxi's at the moment but, it goes without saying, it will eventually be used for all cars in the near future.

Although wireless charging roads are not the entire solution for electric cars, it sure cuts down the need to charge for several hours and will never leave you stranded on the side of the road when you run out of electricity.
