REAL LIFE FAST AND FURIOUS SUPRA & CHARGER RACE
A real-life take in Germany on the iconic race between Dom and Brian at the end of the first Fast and Furious with the Dodge Charger and Toyota Supra.
It's the movie we have all seen a hundred times over. Yes, the one and only Fast and the Furious – that low budget attempt at making a movie about the underground street racing scene in Los Angeles which turned into one of the biggest movie franchises ever to hit the cinema!
Dom's father's car was actually supposed to be a front-wheel-drive Buick Regal. Thank goodness they changed things up a bit and swopped that idea out with the legendary 1970 Dodge Charger R/T which "had so much power, the chassis twisted coming off the line" – those who know, know!
In Germany, a race day that's called "RaceWars" surely makes you think of the first Fast and Furious movie, which is quite strange because neither the Dodge Charger nor the Toyota Supra actually raced that day. But I guess it's all to do with the movie anyway. A replica of both the Dodge Charger and the iconic orange Toyota Supra battle it out in real life. Keep in mind, though, that this is not Hollywood, so the results are not that impressive.
Take a look at the video below of the real-life race between the two Fast and Furious movie replica cars – the Dodge Charger and the Toyota Supra.
